Thank you for the comments! It’s great for me to get both feedback and information from you. Majsan is right: it will be in “Slottskyrkan” instead of “Rikssalen”. I just got confirmation from Jonas about Arkeology, so on the 31st in Giresta it’s time fot Arkeology again!

It’s pretty close to Uppsala, and there are buses stopping RIGHT outside of the church from Uppsala (895 from Central Station, goes every hour) so it’s perfectly possible to stay in Uppsala.
doneOK, this is what will happen: first, at the concert on August 31 at 14.00, Charlotte Hellekant will sing both songs by Schubert and Ola Salo…I have asked her to sing “A sad bouquet” among other things. And, I have asked Jonas if we can do “An Arkeology” too at that concert.
Then, on Monday night, gala concert at Stockholm Royal Castle, “Rikssalen”: All the artists at the festival will perform, and Ola Salo will be the guest artist. He will sing “I just wanna (sing a song called 
” “For Other Eyes” by Elvis Costello, And some Schubert, of course! And we will have to “Slutamedcalleth”, right?

Biljetterna släpps på Upsala Nya Tidnings kontor i Uppsala måndagen den 4 augusti, tel 018-4781070. Vårt grundpris är 150:- per konsert, men på UNT kostar dom 135:- om man har UNT-kort och 165:- om man inte har det. Ett Festivalpass kostar 500:- och då har man tillträde till alla konserter.

Thank´s Per for arranging this wonderful Giresta festival!
Your greatness is, besides being a fantastic musician, that you are able to choose the right artists to cooperate. They are all skilled, humble and are persons without prestige like Lisa, Per, Håkan and Charlotte. And of course Ola!
There was an intimate atmosphere in Giresta and it was easy to make new friends (even in the toa-kö).
When I arrived at the Royal Castle on Monday night it was like meeting a lot of old friends!
The concert in Stockholm was a great event! Charlotte´s version of “This sad bouquet” so embracing, Liszt´ Funérailles played by Per with so much intensiveness and power and Ola´s “I just wanna” sung better then ever!
As being my personal coach into the world of classical music Per, I played your Mozart, Salonen and Grieg all my way home to Ångermanland.
The driving in the rain was like nothing!
Thank´s everyone for all personal sharing during the festival and see you all next summer in Stavanger, Dalhalla or wherever! Take care! Love Marianne

I have learned so much and learned to appreciate so many new musical compositions, and all ready knowned in a new way.
To be able to sitt up front at Giresta and see and hear all from a 14 year old pianist to The Arkology and everything else, it was so overwhelming.

Nu är vi väldigt ledsna och besvikna.
Vi har försökt beställa biljetter till Giresta, men får till svar att biljetterna måste hämtas ut på plats – i förväg. Eftersom vi har 17 mil enkel resa till Uppsala (där biljetterna enligt uppgift finns) så blir det problem.
Det är med sorg vi nu tvingas acceptera att vi får ställa in besöket.
Jag hoppas att ni som har tur att få biljetter verkligen får en magisk upplevelse – Ni får njuta för oss också!
But Christina, I would love a concert on Koster too! On the Swedish westcoast may be in august with dark nights, shimps and “mareld”.
Yes, the north part of Sweden (or Norway) is magic! Specially around midsummer with the light! So next year Per!

Hi Christina! I actually recorded and filmed this only a week ago. It will be a Chopin CD coming later, with More Nocturnes, Waltzes and stuff. That’s why the sound is pretty good, it’s recorded with real good microphones on a separate track.
What a beautiful Chopin clip, and exactly the song I asked for before … *bockar och niger* From when is this recording? It is lovely! A wonderful piece and a wonderful interpretation.
I have tried this one myself many years ago, but of course I failed miserably with the final trill. (Nice close-up there.) And I also had this idea – now I realize how wrong I was – to take one of these very high notes at the end of the “theme” with a strong forte, while you do it very softly. Over all, your version is softer and calmer than those I’ve heard before. I thought it was supposed to be played with a lot of strong emotion, but I fully admit that your version is much nicer.
So I won’t come to the festival, but as a comfort I got this clip. You are such a sweetie, Per! Thank you!

Giresta seems to be a nice place! I have got a very interesting “bed and breakfast” cottage in the neighbourhood. But the “turistbyrå in Enköping” they don`t know anything about the festival Strange!
